Conditions in Manitoba are poor from everything I've seen and heard. No run off from the winter and no sheet water this spring for migrating waterfowl. Potholes big and small are dry.

A friend of mine was driving home in an area to the north of the PPR and he said the dust blowing around was so bad that he felt the police should have closed the highway. A farmer buddy of his who farms in the PPR even gave up planting this year.

Spring was very very late this year, and I would suspect that breeding in the far north might be a bust year. but that is just my own speculation.

Thanks for the report, Chris!

I wouldn't have expected that since many parts of Canada was buried under record snowfall.

Just goes to prove once again that Nature is not even or fair. One area floods while the other bakes.
