Default Elk on a Cliff

A couple years ago I shot an elk and I couldn't find her at first.
I moved farther down the slope and found there was a rock band where if cliffed-out.
When I finally found her I coulden't believe it.

The pictures really don't show how scary the recovery was.
I had to field dress it with one hand and hang on to the cliff with the other.
My brother kept telling me to go get a rope and harness, and I should have listened to him, but I finished her with one hand instead.
When I threw guts off that ledge it took more than a second or two for them to hit ground again.
Circulatory fluid froze on the rock making footing slippery.

It beats tag soup I guess, but I hope I don't have any more in places like this.

Bad place to shoot an elk.

I guess you know that.
